This interactive kiosk teaches the basics of hands-only CPR in just five minutes, offering valuable life-saving skills to the public. The kiosk provides immediate feedback, making it a unique and accessible tool for learning CPR in high-traffic areas, similar to how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplecpr.com\/online-cpr-blog\/finding-and-utilizing-the-best-mobile-health-apps\/\">some of the best mobile health apps<\/a> put life-saving guidance right in your pocket.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<p>Doug Fiore, president of Mercy College of Health Sciences, says the kiosk is emblazoned with the words, \u201cLearn to save a life,\u201d and it teaches the basics of doing hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation \u2014 or CPR \u2014 in about five minutes. \u201cThere\u2019s a screen in front of you that gives you a lesson and right down in front of you, where your hands would rest, it\u2019s a sort of soft pillowy matter,\u201d Fiore says. \u201cIt\u2019s designed to simulate chest compressions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>People who use the kiosk won&#8217;t be CPR certified, but they will learn the essentials in what could make them a hero in a life-or-death situation \u2014 for full, official training, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplecpr.com\/\">SimpleCPR online certification<\/a> is available anytime, anywhere. &#8220;In a very, very short period of time, in just a minute, a person can see how to give hands-only CPR and then try it out on the kiosk,&#8221; Fiore says, &#8220;and it gives feedback on how you&#8217;re doing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Every year nationwide, more than 350,000 cardiac arrests happen outside of hospitals, while more than 20-percent occur in public places like airports, casinos and sporting facilities.
